ABBY MUSEUM - Permanent Collection, Kortrijk 2024

Abby is the new museum of visual arts of Kortijk in Belgium. The museum is located in the historic heart of the city, within the former Groeninge Abbey. Inaugurated on March 29, 2025, Abby presents itself as a dynamic and accessible space where contemporary art engages in dialogue with historical heritage and the theme of identity. The museum houses a vast collection that includes visual art, decorative arts, and urban history. Highlights include works by Roelant Savery and Adriaen Thomasz Key, as well as one of Flanders’ most important ceramic collections, featuring pieces from around the world.

In accord with the former location of the Abbey, they integrated in their permanent acquisitions our first collection “Les Ames Simples” which was inspired by belgian beguinages heritage.
